 Small group mat Pilates courses

All small group classes at held at King George V Hall in Effingham. These small groups allow for exercises to be adapted to your needs, with the opportunity to discuss and resolve limitations and ultimately get you to your goals. Classes are taught based on the 34 classical mat exercises, with progressions and modifications offered throughout the session, so everyone can work at a level which is right for them. We mobilise shoulders, neck, back and pelvis, fire up your core and strengthen the whole body. We work hard, but have fun too! Prices and venues can be found on the timetable page.

Private 121 Pilates sessions

With over 6 years experience teaching Pilates and having further advanced her skills in Therapy Pilates, Exercise referral and now training as a Level 4 Back Pain instructor, Clare is well equipped to help you with your fitness goals.

When working on a 121 basis, Clare will ascertain postural dysfunctions which can cause muscle imbalances and compensations, potentially leading to movement pattern dysfunction and possible aches and discomfort. She will design and deliver a progressive programme, provide a home programme and support you through your journey.

If you are undergoing physio or clinical care, you will need to be discharged from your clinician before starting a new exercise programme, and if Clare is unable to help, she has a referral network set up with local Physiotherapists to give you the best possible care.

In order to get the very best out of your 121 sessions, I would recommend starting with 2-3 one hour sessions. 


121 session fee is £50  **Reduced to £40 for January through to the end of March 2021**

Seated and Standing Therapy Pilates

This session is designed for those who wish to improve their overall fitness and mobility at a gentle pace. All the exercises are adapted from the Classical mat Pilates exercises, but are carried out seated on a chair and in standing.

Those with specialist conditions are welcome -

  • Osteoporosis 

  • Osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis

  • Hip or knee replacement, shoulder problems


We will focus on the following - 

  • Balance and coordination

  • Stretching and mobilisation

  • Strengthening

  • Pelvic floor activation​

  • Socialising
